The idea tree

So part of the problem with keeping up a blog is figuring out what to write. I could just write for myself, but it’s quite possible that only myself would enjoy reading it. As I wouldn’t mind gathering at least a small audience, I need to figure out what to write on that will be interesting. So that’s where you come in! If you have something you’d like my infinite wisdom and expertise to explore, let me know! Of course, most of Hilton’s ideas will probably get axed, but there’s bound to be a few that make it through.

Going “home”

I would just like to say that I had a great deal written up on the subject of “going home” only to accidentally remove the power cord from my laptop. Since my battery is essentially as functional as a rock, this meant my computer immediately powered down. Our blog software desperately needs an autosave feature. Looks like until then (if ever), it’s writing in OpenOffice and copying over for me!

I came “home” to Idaho Falls yesterday evening. I took the bus from SLC Int’l Airport. It was a much more boring trip than I recall. Of course, when reading lights on the inside of the bus shine on the windows, essentially turning them into mirrors, the scenery is drastically affected. That and it was dark. At 6:30pm. I hate standard time. Not only that, but December 21 is officially the shortest day of the entire year (for the northern hemisphere). This really doesn’t create a noticeable difference between the 21st and the day before or after, but it’s the thought of it that makes me bitter. Grr.
