Wow… I would have ducked out. Glad you stuck it out though, because it sounds like you had a really good experience.

Incidentally, it’s too bad you don’t have Genesis… it would make “merging” a breeze ;).

I know what you mean Shaun. I have just recently given up most video games. The only ones I do play now are browser-based and only require 10 minutes or less of your time a day.

Kudos. This is something I’ve often wanted to do, but I keep getting sucked back into the vortex. (And having a job as a web developer doesn’t really help with that. :)) I think it’s a great idea, and although we’ll miss you here in the blogosphere, you’ve got to do what you feel is best for you, no matter how crazy the rest of the world may think you are. (And for the record, I don’t think you’re crazy at all.) Best of luck!

Lame movie? How can anyone say that? The scene where she holds out her hand into the danger of the evil darness (with ugly looking monsters lurking about who really were just her trusted loved ones dressed up—if anyone has never seen it sorry that I just destroyed the suspense)waiting for her one true love to whisk her to safety. The moving music. The slow motion. The trusting innocence. Glorious, I tell you!

Excellent post, and I have to say that I agree completely. The world has changed, and there’s no reason why a new world order would have to be a bad one (or at least any worse than what we’re currently under). It seems more likely that the secret combinations are small groups like you mention — terrorists and such. I find it hard to believe that there’s a global scheme to take over all the world governments and become Communists or something. More plausible is the simple idea (and it’s probably true) that people and governments are trying to work together to create a more unified world with more peace and less war. Not every government, of course, but many of them. And I’ll stop here because I’m not informed enough to speak intelligently on the matter.
